Every denim lover should take a moment to read this.
I can confidently say that what you’re about to discover is something truly special.
And why am I so certain?
Let me tell you the story.
Back in 1986, at a historic dye house in Hiroshima, Japan, yarns were prepared using the traditional hank-dyeing method before being hand-dyed with Natural Indigo. The result was a deep, rich indigo shade with remarkable depth and character.
But here’s the truly extraordinary part:
These yarns were dyed 40 years ago.
They were carefully preserved for decades and finally woven into denim fabric in 2024.
PIGER WORKS has secured 300 meters of this exceptional fabric, which is currently on its way to Thailand and is expected to arrive in mid-June.
From this limited amount, we can produce only:
- 99 pairs of jeans
- 9 denim jackets
This fabric is:
Vintage Natural Indigo Hand-Dyed in 1986
14 oz. Selvedge Denim
Sanforized
It can genuinely be considered a piece of denim history — almost a deadstock fabric that allows us to experience the spirit and craftsmanship of denim making from nearly four decades ago.
We truly believe this is something every denim enthusiast will appreciate and a piece worthy of any serious collection.
To ensure fairness for everyone, we have decided to open reservations simultaneously across all channels.
And yes, reservations are opening now — even before we’ve revealed any additional details.
To be honest, when the fabric itself is this special, everything else feels like a bonus.
