This project has seen overwhelming demand, nearly fully booked even before the fabric arrived and before final samples were completed. Many of you asked to see full looks — so we created visuals across multiple fits to help with your decision.

From seeing the real fabric in person, it has even more depth and beauty than shown here.

For this production, we personally traveled to the mill in Tokushima, Japan, inspecting the fabric firsthand and opening orders while it was still on the loom.
The fabric will arrive in Thailand early this month, with production starting on April 4.

Fabric Specification
16 oz unsanforized denim
Super slubby warp yarn dyed with natural Awa indigo from Tokushima, Japan
Carefully hand-dyed through every step, from indigo leaves to dyeing process
Dyed up to 25 times, with selected yarns dyed 15 times to enhance depth and texture
Combined with traditionally hand-dyed Sumi ink weft
All elements come together to create a truly unique tone and dimensional fabric

This denim is recommended to be worn for appreciating the fabric’s beauty and character, rather than focusing on heavy fading

Naturally Sumi-dyed black selvedge
Finished with gold thread, adding a distinctive and refined touch
Wear it cuffed or uncuffed — both styles highlight its beauty

Leather Patch
This is the first time PIGER WORKS introduces Japanese text on the leather patch
“阿波藍” translates to “Awa Natural Indigo”
Representing the origin of the dye and weaving location
The patch also features brushstroke artwork inspired by Japanese calligraphy
Finished with gold-edged lettering to reflect a premium aesthetic and match the selvedge
